In light of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown, telephone conversations with British Triathlon and having met virtually with the National Trust this morning during which they have advised us that sadly they will not be licensing any events until after 17th May 2021 at the earliest, it is with much sadness that we will be unable to go ahead with the Stourhead Triathlon Weekend this year.
Additionally, we never wish to have any negative impact on the local communities in which we operate events, and we are acutely aware that a large-scale triathlon descending upon the rural parishes, local NHS and nearby hospitals would not be a responsible course of action as we take our first steps into our ‘new normal’. This means that our other Triathlon Weekends will also be impacted for this year, with our focus for 2021 being on low impact, local events.
All entries to the Stourhead Triathlon Weekend will be automatically deferred to 14-15 May 2022.
If you cannot make the new date, please let us know and we will offer you a credit which you can use on any RaceNation Event (as listed on www.racenationevents.com) for up to 3 years, until 31st December 2024.
With best wishes,Jody and Lucy
